About the Alacranes
For us, Alacranes is more than a name—it's a connection to our roots.

Alacrán is the Spanish word for scorpion, a creature deeply connected to the identity and culture of Durango, Mexico. Durango is often known as the “land of the scorpions,” and the alacrán has become an iconic symbol of the region.
When choosing the name Alacranes Paint | Remodel, we wanted to bring a piece of that heritage with us.
Our name is a tribute to Durango, where Emmanuel is from, and to the hard work, resilience, and pride that are at the heart of where we come from.
How it all Began...
Built on a risk, a dream, and a belief in ourselves.
Alacranes Paint | Remodel started with two young people, a shared vision, and the decision to take a chance on themselves.
Katie and Emmanuel are a young couple in their mid-20s who have surrounded themselves with hardworking, business-minded people and have learned from both the successes and challenges they've faced along the way. After enduring their own hardships, they decided it was time to stop waiting for the perfect opportunity and create one of their own.
Emmanuel brings hands-on experience, leadership, and strong people-management skills to the business, while Katie brings an entrepreneurial mindset, business experience, and a passion for building something that can grow. Together, they make a team that is excited not only about the work they're doing today, but about where Alacranes can go tomorrow.
As a young business, we're just getting started—and that's what makes this journey so exciting.
Our goal is to grow Alacranes Paint | Remodel into a company that San Antonio homeowners and businesses can trust to help bring their vision to life, whether that's through a fresh coat of paint, a remodeled room, or a complete transformation.
We invite you to be part of our journey as we work to make San Antonio look a little better, one project, one customer, and one neighborhood at a time.
Sincerely,
The Alacranes

As we grow, we want to continue creating opportunities, serving more people throughout San Antonio, and becoming a company our customers are proud to recommend to their friends, family, and neighbors.
